Only 20 miles from the M6 motorway at the head of Lake Windermere, Ambleside is situated at the heart of the Lake District National Park and is the perfect base for a walking, cycling or touring holiday or a more relaxed short break.
Ambleside village has a fine selection of craft shops, galleries and museums, with perhaps the best selection of outdoor clothing and equipment shops in the UK. A short walk will take you to the Stockghyll Waterfalls or to Waterhead where the Lake Steamers can be boarded for cruising on the largest of England's Lakes. A wide range of restaurants, cafes, bistros and pubs together with a fine cinema offer evening entertainment for all to enjoy while visiting Ambleside.
Our self catering accommodation is for two or four persons. Of course, larger family groups may book more than one adjacent apartment - special family discounts are available.
There is ample car parking in our own private car-park within the grounds.
